We’re looking for you! Are you an emerging artist or part of a new collective in the independent arts scene? Do you see yourself as a newcomer, are you just starting out on your professional artistic career, and is Berlin the centre of your work? If you have a finished project just waiting to be on the stage (again), then apply to us by 15 December 2026!
INTRODUCING BERLIN IS BACK! Experimental, critical, surprising, interdisciplinary – INTRODUCING BERLIN is a cross-venue showcase for new artistic positions in Berlin’s independent performing arts scene. The showcase will take place from 11-14.05.2027 at four venues: Ballhaus Ost, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Sophiensæle and TD Berlin.
We are seeking a diverse range of artistic positions and fresh creative impulses. The festival provides artists with opportunities for networking and consultation, and supports them in entering Berlin’s independent performing arts scene. Furthermore, it gives them the chance to present their projects to (professional) audiences and make new connections within the scene.

INTRODUCING BERLIN 2027 is a performing arts showcase for New Positionen, organised by Ballhaus Ost, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, LAFT Berlin – Berlin State Association for the Independent Performing Arts e.V, Sophiensæle and TD Berlin. INTRODUCING BERLIN 2027 is funded by Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion using funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), ‘Strengthening Innovation Potential in Culture III (INP III)’.
